How to maintain your garage door: 

  • We recommend to lubricate the garage door with a Silicone or Lithium spray parts to lubricate include: the Springs, Hinges, Rollers, bearings, and track
  • Clean the garage door with a non-toxic cleaner such as Simple Green
  • Test the safety eyes and safety reversal on the garage door opener
  • Test the locking manual locking mechanism if applicable
  • Test the door by hand, ensure that it is not falling to the ground and is staying in the upright position
  • Listen for odd noises such as a clicking sound, popping sound, or screeching
  • Visually inspect the door for signs of the door rubbing on the wood jamb, or getting caught on the rails
